🔒 We collect nothing
BITBOXV3 has no user accounts, no analytics and no advertising. Your financial data is encrypted and stored only on your device. We operate no database of user information, because we never receive any.
None. We do not collect, store, sell, share or process any personal data. There is no sign-up, no login and no profile.
Accounts, transactions, categories, budgets, goals, debts, recurring payments and settings are stored in a single database file in the app's private container on your device.
Deleting the app removes this data. We cannot recover it for you, because we never had a copy.
BITBOXV3 is fully functional with no network connection. There is exactly one optional outbound request:
GET to download a small JSON file. It announces maintenance windows and minimum supported versions.As with any internet request, our web server necessarily receives the connecting IP address in order to reply. We do not log IP addresses, build profiles, or use this information to identify or track anyone.
The app embeds no third-party SDK: no analytics, no crash reporting, no advertising network, no social login, no tracking pixel. It does not use the Advertising Identifier (IDFA) and does not track you across apps or websites, so App Tracking Transparency does not apply.
App Lock is optional and off by default. Authentication is performed entirely by iOS through the Local Authentication framework. The app receives only a success or failure result. Your biometric data never leaves the Secure Enclave and is never accessible to us or to the app.
The Backup & Restore feature writes an encrypted document that you choose where to save. If you place it in iCloud Drive, another cloud service, or send it to someone, it is then governed by that service's terms and by your own choices. We are not involved in that transfer.
Currency conversion uses rates bundled inside the app and computed offline. The app contacts no exchange-rate provider, so no request reveals which currencies you use.
BITBOXV3 is rated 4+ and contains no objectionable content. Since no data is collected from anyone, none is collected from children.
Regulations such as the GDPR and CCPA grant rights of access, rectification, deletion and portability over personal data held by a company. We hold no personal data about you, so there is nothing for us to disclose, correct or erase. You keep direct control: your data is on your device, exportable through Backup, and erasable through Settings → Data or by deleting the app.
If this policy changes, the date at the top of this page is updated. Material changes affecting how the app behaves will be described in the App Store release notes.
